THEDIARYOFAYOUNGMAN’S FIRST BOOK GIVEAWAY!
Since I have been at Tumblr for more than a year now, and I want to show my gratitude to my readers, I’ll be having my very first blog giveaway. I just want to have something to share to my readers who have been there with me since the start of this little space I have on the internet.
Due to my utmost love for books, I’ll be giving away some of my favorites:
The Catcher in the Rye | J.D. Salinger
Perks of Being a Wallflower | Stephen Chbosky
Safe Haven | Nicholas Sparks
These books are really special to me and I hope that the winner will be able to enjoy reading these as much as I do.

Don’t ever forget to send me a TA that includes your name, email address, your Twitter and/or Facebook username, plus the total number of entries for this contest.
Announcement of the contest winner (Yes, only one winner for this contest. One lucky kid will get to go home with three books.) will be on my birthday, May 11, 2012. I’ll be using this random generator to determine the winner.
Take note that only bloggers who live in the Philippines are qualified to join this contest. I wish you all the best, fam! Good luck.

It was something that was always looming, always near but never quite close enough to actually materialize. It was almost 2 years in the making. I guess it was bound to happen regardless of where our lives trudge and turn. It seems that wherever life took us, it will go on a detour and find us. Almost always at a point where we cannot meet, where our lives cannot meet. It was only a matter of time.
And then one fateful Monday afternoon, it happened. It’s been that long. TWO YEARS. I guess the odds were defied that day. We finally made that conscious step outside the strings of fate, we took control of what was meant to happen.
The scene appeared sharp yet hazy. Time flew by yet it was like everything was in slow motion. It felt nostalgic yet so now. I felt like I was in trance but very present. Full of contradictions, I don’t even know how that can happen.
“He can be brutally honest, you know that already. Hmm he is surprisingly nice. He looks cute in this light. Stop it, Redge. Dont even think about it.”
So here comes the hardest part, the in-between. This is the hardest because it determines the course of your life from here on out. Was it worth it? Was there something there to catalyze on? Oh these perennial questions that bug you in the middle of the night or while you’re sipping coffee early in the morning. And the most daunting part? You will never really now until you wait.
So you are back to step 1, Waiting. Life sucks like that.
